Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and Physical Rehabilitation Center – Fund provides support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans. These efforts are funded entirely with donations from the public. It has constructed the "Center for the Intrepid", a world-class state-of-the-art advanced training skills facility at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, which serves military personnel who have been catastrophically disabled in operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and military personnel and veterans severely injured in other operations and in the normal performance of their duties, combat and non-combat related.

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) – From the battlefield to their bedside, the WWP (a non-profit organization) is there to meet the needs of our Wounded Heroes. It seeks to assist those men and women of our armed forces who have been severely injured during the war on terrorism, conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations around the world. Many of the injuries are traumatic amputations, gunshot wounds, burns and blast injuries that will retire these brave warriors from military service.

Donate to Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) – This is a link to the donation page for WWP that Trace Adkins endorses on those commercials you see on TV (May 2012). Donations go to the same WWP in above listing, but this is a different donation campaign and donation page.

Operation Quiet Comfort (OQC) – "Your donations help us to provide meaningful support to our wounded warriors and the amazing medical professionals who care for them. OQC is positioned at U.S. Combat Support Hospitals, Troop Medical Clinics, and with medic teams on the front lines." This is a 100% volunteer nonprofit organization.

We are Homes for Our Troops, a national non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2004. We are strongly committed to helping those who have selflessly given to our country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries since September 11, 2001. It is our duty and our honor to assist severely injured Servicemen and Servicewomen and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and to coordinate the process of building a home that provides maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently. American Veterans with Brain Injuries (AVBI) – Organized as a grassroots effort whose mission is to offer support to brain injured American Veterans and their families or caregivers. We offer support through our web site, on line forum, live chat, advocacy, and public awareness. There is a veteran of the United States Navy, and a proud advocate for veterans, who maintains a veteran-focused blog on Mesothelioma.com, connects with vets & members of the military community via Twitter, and assists with veteran outreach.

Soldier's Angels – "As a volunteer-led nonprofit, we encompass over 20 different teams and programs. We send letters, care packages, and comfort items to deployed American service members, and we support their families here at home. We also provide assistance to the wounded, continuing support for veterans, remembrances and comfort for families of the fallen, and immediate response to unique difficulties." also see Operation: Birthday Cake

Gary Sinise Foundation – "is dedicated to serving the Nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need." Also features the Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band. Tax-deductible donations are accepted through foundation website.

Troop Support: Operation Caring Friends – donate everyday needed items to our troops or give contributions. Run by the Women Marines Association (WMA) and Frontier Town. "As long as we have troops who need a smile and a touch of home Operation Caring Friends will continue to serve those who bravely serve our county."

Operation USO Care Package – Due to heightened security, individuals cannot send letters and packages marked for delivery to "Any Service Member." Through Operation USO Care Package, you can sponsor a care package that will be delivered to a deployed service member. These USO care packages include requested items such as prepaid international phone cards, sunscreen, travel size toiletries, and messages from individuals who want to thank them for their service. Recognized and supported by the Department of Defense, USO care package are a way to send a message of encouragement thanking the troops for their service and sacrifice. Space is provided for you to write a personal message of support to the service member who will receive the package.

OperationCarePackages.org – a volunteer nonprofit. You can help send care packages and website has a supply list of needed items. "We are a group of volunteers, dedicated to our goal of making sure that no deployed Hero goes without mail."

AdoptaPlatoon (AAP) – a nonprofit organization managed nationwide by volunteer mothers to ensure that deployed United States service members in all branches of the military are not forgotten. They created projects that meet the need of military requests, established special projects for holidays, and assigns individual morale lifting mail support to service mwmbers of all branches of the U.S. military serving their Nation around the world.

Warrior Cry Music Project – "Healing Through Music. Working closely with therapists to create a positive educational and therapeutic music program, Warrior Cry gives wounded soldiers something positive to work toward and helps to get their minds off of their injuries. The volunteers at Warrior Cry teach injured soldiers to create, play, and record music. The soldiers then look forward to performing live shows for anyone interested. Warrior Cry works with other groups and non-profits to help better the lives of soldiers that were wounded in battle."

Support Our Troops organization – Civilian-founded and civilian-led, Support Our Troops® is a nonpartisan, patriotic family organization through which people can look out for those who are looking out for all of us. It operates programs which enable each of us to personally take responsibility for our neighbors when we ask them to protect us. Their programs boost support for the troops and their families in a direct citizen-to-citizen manner.

Dedicated to Our Defenders (DtoD) – "Our mission is to enrich the lives of the men and women fighting for freedom abroad by providing books to help them pass their downtime."

Vets 4 Vets – Peer Support For Iraq And Afghanistan-Era Vets. Our vision is that anytime a veteran needs to talk with someone who really understands, a local Vets4Vets peer support group is available at no cost.

Bold Brave Courageous – An organization of volunteers whose purpose "is to offer comfort items to injured Military Personnel who have returned from Afghanistan and Iraq. These items include supplemental clothing, toiletries, and entertainment devices such as CDs, CD players, DVDs, books, and games. We package these 'comfort items' up in rolling suitcases, then deliver these suitcases to the injured personnel who are recovering in our Nations military hospitals."

Operation Gratitude – A non-profit, volunteer-based corporation funded entirely by private donations, providing civilians anywhere in America a way to express their respect and appreciation to the men and women of the U.S. Military in an active, hands-on manner. It sends care packages of food, hygiene products, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation addressed to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed in hostile regions such as Iraq and Afghanistan, and on military ships at sea.

Mom 4R Marines – Mission is "to support Marines and Sailors, as well as their families, who are protecting the citizens of the United States while deployed. Our other missions include assisting Wounded Warriors in need, designing and creating Memorial Monuments at the Command Posts for those units/battalions that have suffered loss of their Marines or Sailors Killed in Action."

America Supports You – has links and information for many supporting programs. It is a "nationwide program launched by the Department of Defense, recognizes citizens' support for our military men and women and communicates that support to members of our Armed Forces at home and abroad."

VFW Foundation – Return the Favor – "Our troops sacrifice so much, now you can return the favor." Post your thank you in a video, photo, or text message. Donate to a VFW Foundation program or cause.

VFW – Veterans Of Foreign Wars – "Annually, VFW members and its Auxiliary contribute more than 13 million hours of volunteerism in the community, including participation in Make A Difference Day and National Volunteer Week. From providing $2.5 million in college scholarships to high school students every year to encouraging elevation of the Veterans Administration to the president's cabinet, the VFW is there."

The Wall USA – "Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall USA website is dedicated to honoring those who died in the Vietnam War. We remain dedicated to displaying the information in the dignified manner that it deserves."

Blue Star Mothers of America Inc. – to perpetuate the the memory of all the men and women who have served our country as members of the Armed Forces; the further object of this organization shall be patriotic, educational, social, and for service; to maintain true allegiance to the Government of the United States; to educate our members and others not to divulge military, naval, or other Government information; to assist in veterans' ceremonies, to attend patriotic rallies and meetings; to foster true democracy; to care for the unsupported mothers who gave their sons to the service of the Nation; to aid in bringing about recognition of the need of permanent civilian defense for each community and to ever be alert against invasion of un-American activities; to uphold the American institutions of freedom, justice, and equal rights, and to defend the United States from all enemies.

Honor Flight Michigan – mission is to provide an all expenses paid trip for Michigan's WWII Veterans to Washington, DC to visit the memorial that has been dedicated to honor their service and their sacrifices for our country. It is run entirely by volunteers with no administrative overhead, no paid employees or government support and is funded entirely by our caring, statewide community.
