Mike's DJ Service Area is Metro Detroit and most of Michigan's lower peninsula

Birthdays 21 & up, No children's or under 19 parties. Mike is conveniently based in the center of Metro Detroit (city of Southfield), features flat rates with no per-hour charges, has a huge variety music collection and a desire to play the music that you prefer!

Mike is a 25+ years experienced professional mobile DJ and a member of
National Association of Mobile Entertainers (N.A.M.E.)
Motor City Music Foundation (MCMF)
plus several other music and civic minded organizations.

What Mike Can Offer as Your Party DJ

• Mike is a Full-Time mobile disc jockey. This is his only line of work, how he makes his living.
• Mike is your DJ, not a surprise trainee or subcontracted fill-in.
• Unlike many DJ services, Mike does NOT invite strangers (observers) to a private party.
   Public party where everybody is encouraged to attend? Mike is a well-known name.
• Flat Rates (prices) with no hidden costs, no per-hour charges, no time limit.
   Most everything DJ related is already included in his rates.
• Music: your choice. It's YOUR event - listen and dance to the music you like.
• 50,000+ Music Selections on 4,000 CDs and Legal Downloads.
• Around 1,000 CDs are taken to each party, played on anti-skip cd players.
   Nothing like having lots of music AT the event!
• Music Volume: your choice. (usually "easy to talk over" low to start, higher for dancing).
• DJ Style: your choice. Sophisticated to interactive/fun.
• DJ Attire: your choice. Tux to theme.
• Mike owns and uses professional DJ Equipment, which is listed lower on this page.
• DJ Equipment is set up before guests arrive.
• Back-up amp, microphone, CD player, etc. is taken to every party.
• Wireless microphone available for toasts, announcements, games, etc.
• If needed, Mike is also good on the microphone: announcements, introductions or MC duties.
• Simple "no fine print" contracts. No surprise costs.
• Available to meet before events to go over final details.
• Mike books only ONE event per day. No potential "over-bookings" or "double-bookings".
• New Year's Eve includes Mike all night long (up to 4am).



Mike's DJ Equipment

Professional (also known as commercial) equipment is used. Numark and American DJ anti-skip CD players, Shure microphones, Numark 200 FX MKII DJ mixing board, Crown amps, Peavey speakers. Mike's lights are multi-colored rotating atmosphere type which means older guests won't be hit in the eyes with laser shots, strobes or extremely bright lights. Some DJs allow strangers, usually called "observers" - people you don't know, the DJs don't know, were not invited by you, but invited by the DJs to watch them work at private events such as weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, and so on. In effect, these DJs are using private events as public auditions. Mike does not do this.
