Sonic Lunch - Ann Arbor, MI – annual. Bank of Ann Arbor's Sonic Lunch is a Free outdoor summer concert series at Liberty Plaza on Thursdays at lunch time from June to August.
New Center Park Concerts and Music Nights - Detroit, MI – annual. June to September. Some events are free, some charge admission.
White Crow Conservatory of Music Concert Series - Saginaw, MI – Annual Main Concert Season (five days a week) runs from Sept thru May. It also has workshops and full day festivals throughout the year.
Ten Pound Fiddle Concert Series and Contra Dancing - East Lansing, MI – "Currently, we produce most of our concerts at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lansing located in East Lansing. For larger-drawing concerts, present shows at such venues as Michigan State University's Erickson Kiva, Wharton Center and East Lansing Hannah Community Center. For even smaller, more intimate shows, we use The Creole Gallery in Lansing's Old Town. "

Acoustic Jam Night at Coopersville Farm Museum and Event Center – First and Third Tuesday of every month, year round, for beginner and experienced alike. It has become a community gathering with upwards of 35 Michigan musicians playing at any given time, a mix of old gospel, country, bluegrass, and folk music. Cost is $4 each (kids 12 & under are free).
