January 21-23, 2016 (thu-sat)  Annual Michigan Music Conference (MMC) – in Grand Rapids, MI (West Michigan).
Held at DeVos Place, Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, and J.W. Marriott. Purpose of the conference is to provide an annual in-service opportunity for the professional development of Michigan music educators and to serve as a coordinating body for collaborative, inter-association initiatives in support of school music in Michigan.

TBA 2016  Ferndale Blues & Music Festival – in Ferndale, MI (just north of Detroit).
Annual Festival averages about 60 concerts over nine days at over 20 venues throughout downtown Ferndale. proceeds go to local charities.

The Ark's largest annual fundraising event features traditional and contemporary artists. Each night will feature the opportunity to hear popular artists and discover new talent.
