It's a growing group of people having fun checking out various local music entertainers and music venues in the Metro Detroit area. We have a variety of musical tastes, budgets, ages, available nights. Party Crew is all about a good time. There is no formal membership, no dues, no commitments, just show up and party when the nights are right for you.

Mike's "Party Crew Nights and Checking Out Bands" are posted for all to see so people can have a great excuse to converge at one place, start a party, and have an outstanding good time experiencing our incredibly talented local musicians and entertainers.

Madman Mike's Party Crew Nights started again in 2008. They were discontinued years ago but are being brought back by overwhelming requests. Most types of music entertainment are fair game, but never opera!

March 5-8, 2008 at the Metro Times Blowout 2008 in Hamtramck. 200+ performances, 4 nights, 20 venues. He was there all four nights, checked out many local music acts, met some great musicians and lots of party people, and took some pictures which will get posted if he ever gets some free time.

Feb 23, 2008 Saturday: 80's Retro Night
Mike checked out the Mega 80's - a Retro 80's Show Band at the Magic Bag in Ferndale, on Woodward just north of 9 Mile.

Cover Charge: $10. Ages: 21+

About the Mega 80's
Band features accurately replicated sounds of the 80's era, an expansive play list and a retro style. The success of the Mega 80's has included playing at the Palace of Auburn Hills, being highlighted on Mitch Albom and Fox 2 News, voted "best cover band" by Real Detroit readers. Based in Metro Detroit, performs throughout MI.

Dec 22, 2007: Jamie's (bar on Ford Rd in Garden City) to hear the Jamie Coe Band. Jamie Coe passed away in 2007. Since he owned Jamie's Bar and played in the band, wanted to hear current band and experience the bar under its new owner. Met Curtis - the band's new drummer, exchanged seasons greetings with the world famous bartender Sue (Suzie), met Barak - weekend bartender and Sunday nights karaoke host. The band? They get a big THUMBS UP.

Nov 25, 2007: Detroit Blues Challenge Finals at the Magic Bag in Ferndale.

Nov 3, 2007: WRIF's Rockin' For Vinnie - a 12 hour memorial benefit concert at The Ritz rock bar in Warren. EVERYONE WAS INVITED TO ATTEND. Follow-up Update: Place was packed! Mike was lucky to meet and share a table and drinks with Danielle & Dominic, two outstanding people. He also met Dana from Crud - a high profile hard rock band from Detroit. Dana was also there to show her support. The bands rocked, WRIF DJs were great, lots of money was raised, it was a very good day.

NOTE: Mike is a serious, distinguished, sophisticated DJ at weddings and formal events. However, he is much more than a one dimensional DJ. He can also have crazy fun being the DJ for people who want to let loose in a non-formal atmosphere. Everything is not black tie! And he proudly supports local musicians and entertainers.
