Madman Mike says ALL with a vested interest should know at least three of their important rules and regulations. Why? Whether vendors or guests goof up, The Lessee Pays These Fees.
"BAND, DJ, FLORIST, DECORATOR, and BAKER must be completely set-up one Hour PRIOR to function; if not, a $100 fee will be applied."
"NO SMOKE or FOG machines are permitted. If such machines are used, a $500 fee will be incurred."
"ABSOLUTELY NO CONFETTI, DANCE DUST, GLITTER, SILLY STRING, BALLOON DROPS, OR BUBBLES ARE ALLOWED INSIDE LAUREL MANOR. IF USED, A $250 CLEAN-UP FEE WILL BE ASSESSED."
"BAND and DJ must be in PROFFESIONAL ATTIRE prior to start of the function."

The Crew's Nest – at Put-In-Bay in Ohio. Mike DJ'd a wedding ceremony + reception there in 2011. TIP for everyone: Plan on an overnight stay. Cars/Vans must take Miller's Ferry (the one for vehicles) to get to the island and Miller's Ferry service ends around 9:30pm. Ceremonies and Receptions are outdoors, reception in a pavillion. limited parking on the island.
NOTE → Mike charges more than twice his usual rate for this venue because it ties up two nights, plus cost of two nights lodging on Put-In-Bay, extra cost of gas driving from/back to Detroit, cost of ferry, cost of a DJ assisistant is much more.
