April 4-6, 2008: Michigan Classic 2008 (Michigan Classic Dance Championships) - 16th annual at the Doubletree Hotel in Dearborn (west side of Detroit). Swing & Hustle showcases, competitions, workshops, social dancing and more.
June 7, 2008: Colors of Salsa - in Lansing. 2nd Annual. Dance In The Street and Taste The Heat, a Latin Music and salsa tasting extravaganza featuring salsa bands. Latin music is FREE, beer tent is not.
June 26-29, 2008: Motor City Tap Fest - in Downtown Detroit & Royal Oak. 1st Annual. 4 days of master classes, an All-Star Faculty Concert, a Tap Jam, a Participants' Showcase, and a Panel Discussion to learn about the business.
July 3-6, 2008: Annual Cedar Polka Fest - in Cedar (northwest lower peninsula). 4 days of polka music and dancing.
October 18, 2008 (sat): The Big Dance (BIG DANCE III) [Swing] - in Metro Detroit. sponsored by the Michigan Swing Dance Association
