Charity Motors (Detroit) - "non-profit organization dedicated to helping the underprivileged with transportation. When you donate your vehicle to Charity Motors, not only are you helping a needy person with a car, but you can also choose any non-profit organization (including churches) to receive the proceeds from the sale of your donated vehicle. Forgotten Harvest - Fights hunger and waste. It rescues nearly 8 million pounds of food per year by collecting surplus prepared and perishable food from a variety of sources such as grocery stores, restaurants, caterers, dairies, farmers, wholesale food distributors, and other Health Department-approved sources. Donated food is delivered free of charge to emergency food providers in the metro Detroit area.

Old Newsboys' Goodfellow Fund of Detroit - "sole mission is to ensure that there is No Kiddie Without a Christmas". Each holiday season the Detroit Goodfellows distribute holiday gift boxes to children ages five through 13 living in Detroit, Highland Park and Hamtramck. Each child receives warm clothing, toys, books, games and candy. They also have Shoe, Dental, Campership programs.
Operation Quiet Comfort (OQC) - "Your donations help us to provide meaningful support to our wounded warriors and the amazing medical professionals who care for them. OQC is positioned at U.S. Combat Support Hospitals, Troop Medical Clinics, and with medic teams on the front lines." This is a 100% volunteer nonprofit organization based in LaSalle, MI.
Penrickton Center for Blind Children - Based in Taylor, MI. "a private non-profit agency, providing five-day residential, day care, and consultation/evaluation services to blind, multi-disabled children ages one through twelve. Each program is individually designed to promote independence in all aspects of daily living. There is no charge to families for our services provided to their children! June 21, 2008: Bike for Breast Cancer Pink Ribbon Ride in Boyne City. Annual Charlevoix/Emmet County cycling event. Routes Available: 7, 20, 42, & 65 Mile Rides.
September 7, 2008: Dawn Farm's 34th Anniversay Jamboree in Ypsilanti. 1pm - 6pm. The Dawn Farm Jamboree is an annual family event with free admission and free activities for all ages, including live music all day by a popular local band, hayrides, animals to pet, pony rides, a popular midway and other activities for children, tours of the 74 acre farm, and live and silent auctions with a variety of great bargains. Funds raised from this event help defray treatment costs for individuals who have no other resources. Dawn Farm welcomes the entire community to join us and share our celebration of success in helping addicts and alcoholics.
September 14, 2008: Bikers for Babies 2008 (motorcycle) in Martin, MI. 60 mile ride, Silent Auction, Vendors, Music, Lunch, Raffles, Door Prizes, Ride-in Bike Show. Tickets are $25.
